SPRITES OF THE ORCHARD THIS IS NOT A DRILL THE TRIO HAS RETURNED
Hello, Sprites! Nashira here with an exciting announcement: we’re kicking off an exciting May with Maria and myself returning to hosting workshops. I’m so excited and my heart is super full and I can’t wait to connect with you all over poetry again!!!
May 12 — Bloody Orchard II by Maria 🍒
On dark fairytales and the recontextualization of victimhood and tragedy within them. This one’s for you if you’re itching to write something fantastical, visceral, and dark. Picture yourself walking barefoot through a haunted, magical forest with a candlestick holder in hand, seeking answers or magic or a third, secret thing.
May 18 — Kiki’s Delivery Service & Burnout: On growing up, burning out, writer’s block, and healing by Blossom & Nashira 🍒🍍
This one’s for you if you’re feeling that post-Poetry Month burn out and starting to feel like writing is more drab than cathartic. Let’s rediscover our “reason why” together!
May 19 — Jane Austen: A reflection on love and relationship as inspired by one of our favorite writers by Blossom & Maria 🍒🍓
I just want to say I have never read anything Jane Austen and I know next to nothing about her except what I’ve absorbed through writer cultural osmosis but I’m coming so please sit with me in the back, haha!!
May 24 — Friendship Graveyard: on drifting, ghosting, and grief by Nashira 🍍
This one’s for you if you have been going through it whether you’re sulking in the space between you and the friend you thought would be next to you through everything, on losing touch with people, and the grief of ending friendships. My return to solo hosting! Please clap :’)…
Hope to see you here, there, or somewhere! As always, you are welcome to register to get the materials, you’re not required to attend the live sessions!
Warm wishes & butterfly kisses,
Nashira 🍍
